Last Minute Race Information

Registration

Registration opens for all distances at 5pm on Friday and closes at 8pm. Registration then re-opens on Saturday morning at 6am and goes through until 9.20am for those last minute 44km arrivals.

Please check your allocated race number on the Rider List available on the button below. If you have already received your race plate in the mail there is no need to visit registration unless you are changing courses, changing categories or collecting your pre-purchased event merchandise.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are an Elite (100km only), Single Speed (100km or 68km only), Electric or Cyclocross (100km or 68km only) rider please check on the below rider list to make sure you are in the correct category. If you are listed in an age category instead you will need to see us at registration so we can swap you over to the correct category. If you fail to do so you will appear in your corresponding age category rather than the Elite, Single Speed, Electric or Cyclocross category.

Transfers and Course Changes

Now that online transfers and course changes have closed, last minute rider transfers and course changes can only be done at registration.

Course Changes

If you are looking to downgrade or upgrade distances this can still be done at the event. You will need to head to the ‘Transfers’ desk at registration to complete the change. You will be allocated with a new race plate number to reflect your new distance. Riders stepping down in distance are NOT eligible for any refunds while riders going up in distance will need to pay the difference in entry price between the two distances.

Please note that failure to complete this change could see you directed along your original course by staff and event marshals along the route.

Transfers

Replacement riders are required to bring along written proof/registration confirmation (a message/email on your phone will suffice) from the original rider. You will need to line up at the ‘Transfers’ desk at registration to complete the transfer.

On the day transfers will incur a $40 admin fee (payable by the new rider), cash preferred (we can only accept cash or physical credit card as there is no phone reception so only offline transactions available). Exchange of funds for original race entry fees will be a private transaction between the two riders. Please allow extra time to complete this at registration.

Driving and Camping

Arriving safely and on time to the event is the first challenge. The roads leading into St Albans are narrow and windy. There is also the ferry crossing at Wiseman’s Ferry to contend with as well. All this means you should plan accordingly. Allow extra time and take it easy. Directions are included in the Event Program along with some invaluable information regarding road closures around the event start times. The second ferry at Wiseman’s Ferry crossing point will be operating from 6am on Saturday morning. A tip from the wise, often it is quicker to use Wiseman’s Ferry rather than brave the line up at Webb’s Creek Ferry.

If you are coming down on Friday to camp the night before, there are plenty of spots at the traditional camping sites at the flat rate of $10 per vehicle payable to St Albans RFS. If you are planning to use the premium camping along the river on private property please be aware that this is by private arrangement with the landowner, not the event organiser and the price is still to be determined.
